Three words drive our wealth management principles: Listen – Understand – Guide. These are longstanding values and (as is often emphasised in our business) they work both ways. Well here we are…
Entering into this lockdown, we knew that staying connected and maintaining the standards clients have come to expect of us would be key, and as advisers, it would be in our power to do so. The effort involved was never going to be one-way, and because of the patience and flexibility of our clients, adapting with us to embrace technology including video meetings and telephone conferences, everything has been possible.
The Courtiers online account has allowed clients to check their investments at any hour of the day. While the news rolls between health pandemic and economic downturn, regular commentary from our own investment team with remote interviews and updates on Courtiers fund performance have all added confidence – for our clients and for us in our ability to communicate broadly as a company and personally as advisers. Through the online account, clients can see their Courtiers portfolios, track where Courtiers funds are invested and vitally, monitor fund and portfolio performance. We are securely delivering digital statements, reports and other important documents and furthermore, Courtiers is developing the online account to deliver more.
We are fortunate to live in a time where technology is literally at our fingertips. Smartphones, tablets, computers, various ‘apps’ and cameras are at such a level to allow an almost seamless transition from the face-to-face, to the remote. Our I.T. team has ensured that we are able to communicate securely with each other, and that our conversations remain private and undisturbed.
Although we are operating in new and exciting ways, I think I speak for all Courtiers advisers when I say we cannot wait to begin seeing clients face-to-face again. We will ensure that this can be done in the safest possible way. The Government will continue issuing their plans to phase out social distancing measures and we will continue to heed their guidance. We hope soon to be able to review face-to-face meetings on a client-by-client basis and with all those involved being comfortable, we hope to begin seeing you all shortly.
As ever, if you have any questions please speak to your adviser or contact us.
