At Courtiers
Gary co-founded Courtiers in 1982 and is a main Board director. As CIO (Chief Investment Officer) his responsibilities include monitoring and responding to changes in global markets, identifying investment opportunities, global macro analysis and supporting and overseeing a team of high achieving fund managers. Gary takes a longterm, fundamentalist approach to investing and combines this with in-depth
mathematical analysis to achieve clients’ goals.
Background / Experience
Gary has worked in financial services since 1973. He is a CFA® Charter holder, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and holds the diploma from the Personal Finance Society (DipPFS).
Outside Work
Aside from asset management Gary is passionately committed to development of sport in Wokingham and Berkshire and is Director of Rams RFC, a National 1 rugby union club.
Outside of his family, business and rugby interests Gary likes interacting with and walking his dogs. “I have solved more problems walking my dogs in the woods and fields than I could ever do sitting at a desk, and irrespective of how Rams have performed on the pitch, or if the markets have done well or not, or if we have made money for our investors, my dogs are still pleased to see me”.
